@Justin Flash - well, there you go. Sweet as can be - and I didn't even know that existed. Should the alpha not be 0-1 (rather than 0 - 100) ?

Check out the autoAlpha property.

TweenLite.to(mc, 2, {autoAlpha:0});
TweenLite.to(mc, 2, {autoAlpha:100});

We all know this one, and it is annoying!
Personally, I almost always have PS open as well as AI, so I paste into PS, and then Copy and Paste into AI. That works from anywhere.

I wish I knew where the problem lay. Alas such technical knowledge is beyond me... but I have used the drag and drop from Safari straight to Illustrator CS3 so many times. Anyone tried copying and pasting to CS4?

Wow! Thank you very much!
I always wanted to write in my blog something like that. Can I take part of your post to my site?
Of course, I will add backlink?

Sincerely, Timur I. Alhimenkov

The colour transform was exactly what I've been looking for. Many thanks!

One slight problem, there is a typo in the second line, the first 'ColorTransfrom', should be 'ColorTransform'

import flash.geom.ColorTransform
var colTrans:ColorTransfrom = new ColorTransform()
colTrans.color = 0xFF9900;
some_mc.transform.colorTransform = colTrans;

Thanks again, some great info here.
All the best
Andrew

Thanks much for this. I couldn't get the TweenEvent to work, and it was simply because I hadn't import the fl.transitions.TweenEvent. Ha!
